Methodology

How the numbers are built

Flight paths come from ADS-B tracking. Emissions are modelled across the full LTO cycle (landing and take-off) and the cruise phase, using the EUROCONTROL EMEP/EEA Guidebook 2023 methodology and calibrated cruise-phase fuel-burn rates across 147 aircraft types, to produce tank-to-wake CO₂ totals. Every figure traces back to the same documented method — so it holds up to scrutiny.
